Piary is a daily journalling practice rooted in the digits of π. Each day, you take the nth digit of Pi (where n is how many days since Piary began) and write a journal entry structured by that digit: n lines of n syllables. If today's digit is 6, you write 6 lines of 6 syllables each.
The exception is zero — on a zero day, instead of writing, you draw, make, or take a picture. A welcome change of creative pace.
Piary began on 19 November 2020, with digit 3 — meaning three lines of three syllables.
Piary was invented by Ivan Brett. Find out more and explore his other creative projects at ivanbrett.com.
